I think the French are spot on. We all are guilty of eating too fast, not really engaging with those around us throughout the meal, savoring every bite, enjoying the, may I say it—”sacred-ness of a meal together”? Yes, let’s for this week become aware, make some time for the slow unfolding of a meal together—good company, good food, and good conversation! I love it!

so agree with the comments so far. I must say that I spent far too much time being and thinking negatively about myself, and going to college, earning that music degree helped me so much, but I was still doing too much of this “stinkin’ thinkin’” as I call it. Deprecation, whatever you want to call it is just plain ‘ole negative, and so unattractive. It was in getting my degree in Music Therapy, that I began to get it. Now, I catch myself, and am aware when I start that old habit up. I really must be confident, and firmly grounded, in order for me to move forward on this vocational path I have been called to and am choosing to do. I love that line, “surrounding yourself with positivity both internally and externally will allow you to prosper in life.” It’s my new mantra that is going up on my bathroom mirror. Each week I set a new goal. Where I am going to put this to work this week, is a major center for dementia/alzheimer’s patients I have had on my list to visit once I passed my MT-BC exams. Well, I did that, and now it’s time to go to the “scary place” and confidently present Music Therapy to them. Next, will be the other “scary place” which is the VA Hospital. So, now you all know what are my 2 biggest goals for the next 2 weeks! It is spoken, proclaimed, and out in the Universe now, so stay tuned!

I agree, Sarah. I was reading about micro-loans given to women in third world countries, and what they accomplish for their themselves, family, and their entire village. I like the 3 “C”s—Class, Confidence, and Creativity! Thanks for bringing this subject up!
